Samsung Launches Galaxy J4 and J6

Samsung is bringing two new additions to the lower-end of the market, which promise to take the J-series into more serious territory. The first phone, Galaxy J4, improves upon the basic formula and focuses on providing a user-friendly experience.

Design and Display

The J4 follows Samsung’s signature J-series design with the physical home button at the bottom of the screen, flanked by the back and recent apps buttons. It’ll be available in four colors and the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio.

The display is a large 5.5” panel with 720p resolution. The phone apparently misses out on a fingerprint scanner, too

Internals and Storage

Under the bonnet, you see the budget quad-core Exynos 7570 processor, with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage. Thankfully storage is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. J4 is dual SIM by default.

Camera(s)

The camera here is a 13 MP sensor with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. The one on the front is a 5 MP lens and is accompanied by a flash which offers three degrees of brightness.

Battery

The battery capacity is set at 3000 mAh. The prices unfortunately are still not announced though you can expect them to be around $160.
