Pakistan’s Number 1 T20I Ranking in Danger in Series Against Scotland

The upcoming T20I series for Pakistan vs Scotland will be crucial for Green Shirts’ top spot in the worldwide rankings. The team currently sits at the top with 130 points and a series win would further consolidate Pakistan’s position.

However, a whitewash – against all odds – will see Pakistan crashing down from the slippery top.

If Pakistan Loses

In case Pakistan loses the series 2-0 against Scotland, the Men in Green will slip directly to the third spot. The loss would mean that Pakistan will be ranked behind bitter rivals India with 123 points. However, this is unlikely to happen as Pakistan has an experienced squad and will enter the match as favorites. Nonetheless, Scotland at their home could prove to be a difficult opposition.

If the Series is Levelled

If the two-match series ends as a 1-1 draw, Pakistan would remain at the top. However, The Green Shirts would lose three crucial ranking points with just one point making the difference between the top two teams.
