The total media value of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) along with all six franchises now stands at Rs. 3 billion. The figure was reported by PCB Chairman Najam Sethi who was highly appreciative of PSL’s assets’ growth.
Nielsen Holdings PLC also posted similar figures a few days back in its report on PSL and its franchises.
The global information, data, and measurement company calculated PSL’s total worth at over $230 million as PSL 3 recorded an increase of 38% in its value from the previous season.

The PCB Chairman spoke at the sporting body’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) where he reported the figures among other decisions. Sethi was also given the unanimous vote of confidence at the same meeting by the regional presidents.

The PCB Chairman announced grants for Gwadar Cricket Association and other remote areas of the country. He also announced a special fund of Rs. 50 million for remote areas for the promotion of cricket.
In 2017-18, the board allocated Rs. 300 million for the activities in Regional and District cricket. This year the amount has by increased by another Rs. 100 million.
A two-day session will be held prior to the next AGM meeting to discuss the matters of the General Body members.
The members also appreciated the national team’s recent performance in T20s and the return of the international cricket.
