Rawalpindi Stadium Renovation Begins with Addition of a 3 Floor Building

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stepped up its efforts to upgrade the Pindi Cricket stadium after committing to spend roughly Rs. 1 billion for it last month.

The changes to the stadium will be made over the course of the next three years. The purpose? To make it worthy of hosting international cricket as well as Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches.

According to the latest development, PCB is constructing a new building in Pindi stadium which is expected to be completed in the next six months. Work on this project has already been started, according to a PCB official.

The official also disclosed that it will be a three-floor building. The purpose of the building has not yet been made public but rumors suggest that the building will be utilized for ground equipment, staff members, and the ground staff.

“Pindi stadium is one of the most prominent stadia in the country and thus we have decided to start the upgrade process from here,” PCB official said.

He also stated that all the cities hosting PSL matches will see their stadiums being upgraded.
