Huawei Band 3 Pro Fitness Tracker Comes With GPS, Better Screen and More Features

Alongside the snazzier Watch GT, Huawei has also unveiled the new Band 3 Pro for the more fitness-focused crowd. The update now brings a much better display, though, the price could potentially put some people off.

Design

The display is a 0.95-inch AMOLED one and shows colors now. It is also touch-enabled, which is a first for the series and a big improvement over before.

The design is as svelte as ever, weighing 25 grams, and being available in Blue, Black and Gold/White. There is up to 5 ATM of water-proofing, too.

Features

In terms of fitness features, you get the regular heart-rate monitor here, too. which is now said to be more accurate than before. The sleep tracker also provides deeper insight with the new TruSleep 2.0, which is developed in collaboration with professionals.

There are multiple swimming modes, cycling modes as well as custom training modes on board, for creating your own training sessions.

Other than that, you can expect the regular catalog of features, such as notifications for calls/texts and reminders on your wrist.

Battery Life and Price

The battery life of the Band 3 Pro is quoted to last up to 20 days on standard mode with heart-rate monitoring turned off, or 12 days with it on. GPS tracking lasts for 7 hours.

The band is priced at 99 Euros, which is a marked step above the $70 that the last band charged, though, deeper sleep insight and a more-intuitive touch interface should make up for the difference.

Huawei is yet to announce when the Band 3 Pro hits the market. The wearable does sit well in the new Huawei strategy of quality hardware, alongside its new premium devices.
