Provincial Minister for Information and Culture, Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan, has said that the PTI government is going to launch healthcare cards for artists.
6,000 artists, along with their families, have been included for the provision of healthcare services. He said this while distributing cheques to artists at a ceremony held at Alhamra Arts Council in Lahore.
Chohan said that the PTI government was proud to launch different programmes for the betterment of the artist community. Later, talking to the media, the minister said that financial assistance provided by the Punjab government would provide relief to all those who had their roots in art and culture and were struggling to make ends meet.
At the ceremony, the Minister said that the distribution of cheques would cover a total number of 27 artists. Chohan further added the Punjab government was committed to providing all-out support to the artist community.
“Under the supervision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, we will provide sustained livelihood opportunities to artists,” he concluded.Â
