One of South Africa’s most celebrated cricketers, Jonty Rhodes, is set to make his Pakistan Super League (PSL) debut as a commentator, replacing Michael Slater who pulled out of the event due to personal reasons.
Dubbed as the best fielder of all time, Jonty Rhodes has expressed his excitement to be a part of a fantastic commentary team in the PSL 2019.
I have fond memories of my various tours to Pakistan, so you can imagine how thrilled I am to be heading out to UAE and Pakistan for PSL 2019 as part of a fantastic commentary team. Having played and coached there during my career, I know how much exciting talent the country holds and I look forward to giving my take on the competition and the players on show.
Having fond memories of Pakistan as a cricketer, the former South African will join the commentary panel on February 21. He will also commentate in the last phase of the league which is set to be played in Lahore and Karachi.
With more big names, this year’s PSL promises to be a massive event.
