Pakistani teenage pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi is eager to prove himself at the Cricket World Cup once he gets the chance to represent his country.
The prodigy is yet to get a game in this World Cup, however, with plenty of games still to go, he will definitely get the chance. He has already played for Pakistan at the Under-19 World Cup.
The youngster is inspired to give his best for the team to leave his mark.
I want to leave an impact in this World Cup. If a chance is given to me, I will try to give my best for the team.
Talking to a private news outlet, he said that his spirits are high and that he has been working hard with the bowling coach.
About the team’s preparations, he said: “We are well prepared and the players are highly motivated and looking forward to the tournament”.
Pakistan is set to play Australia on Wednesday 12th June and it remains to be seen whether Shaheen makes it to the XI or not.
