Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Cricket Committee head, Mohsin Khan has resigned from his post. The committee also includes former captains, Misbah-ul-Haq and Wasim Akram. The decision came earlier on Thursday.
The 64-year-old however, said that his services will continue to be available for the betterment of cricket in the country.
The move to discontinue or totally dissolve the committee was already on the cards considering the fact that it was highly dysfunctional ever since its inception in the last quarter of 2018.
PCB Managing Director, Wasim Khan will replace him as the head of Cricket Committee, however, it remains to be seen how the other two members respond to Mohsin’s resignation.
The Cricket Committee is expected to submit a detailed report on the team’s performance in the past 3 years. The report, along with the recommendations, will be presented to the PCB Chairman and the Board of Governors.
