Babar Azam & His Team Roll Over Mohammad Amir’s Side in T20 Blast [Video]

Somerset opener, Babar Azam has once again moved onto the top of run-scoring charts in T20 Blast with yet another brilliant half-century.

The 24-year-old’s 56 runs from 39 balls took him to 323 runs in just 7 innings. He currently averages 53.83 while his opening partner, Tom Banton is second in the list of most runs with 295 runs from 7 innings.

Babar was facing Mohammad Amir’s Essex as the left-arm seamer opened the bowling for his team.

The right-handed batsman smacked 7 fours and a six in his fifty as his team amassed a huge total of 225/6. Amir ended up with figures of 1/44 in his 4 overs.

In reply, Essex put on a poor batting display, getting all out for 111 in just 12.5 overs. Somerset bowler, Roelof van der Merwe took a five-for to dismantle the opposition’s batting lineup. His bowling display won him the man of the match award.

In another match, Pakistani all-rounder, Faheem Ashraf impressed with the ball as he took 2 wickets for 26 runs from his 4 overs. His team, Northamptonshire, defeated Durham, winning by 21 runs.
