Pakistan Cricket’s Twitter Account Crosses 2 Million Followers

Cricket is Pakistan’s favorite sport. It unites and fuels the passion of our nation. No matter how our cricket teams perform, Pakistanis have always stood by them.

Triumphs like World Cup 1992, T20 World Cup in 2009 and Champions Trophy in 2017 are unforgettable and a mere thought of the moment gives every single one of us goosebumps.

Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) investment in improving its digital media coverage by introducing some new faces has done wonders in the progression of the game and the timely flow of information regarding each and every development.

PCB’s official Twitter handle has now crossed 2 million followers, which speaks for the efforts put in by the digital media team.

In its tweet, PCB thanked the fans for their ‘overwhelming support for Pakistan cricket’.

There has been a marked improvement when it comes to digital media coverage. Earlier, the news came in bits and pieces, via text messages or phone calls to some notable journalists, however, the latest developments and press releases are now professionally conveyed. While there’s still plenty of room for improvement, especially the structure of PCB’s website, a lot has changed and it is improving quite drastically.

From the domestic tournaments to the national and junior teams’ tours, the social media team keeps all of us updated through Twitter and other channels, which is the main reason why there has been an increase in its following.
