The cricket fans are anxiously waiting for Sri Lankan Cricket Board to formally announce their team’s visit to Pakistan for a Test series. Amid speculations, the SLC is awaiting a green signal from the government.
The security report is yet to be presented before the Executive Committee and once the government approves, the cricket board will finalize its decision whether or not to tour Pakistan. According to the reports, the decision is likely to be announced in the next week.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is hopeful of getting positive news from SLC in the coming week, however, the next step for Sri Lankan board will be to convince the players to play cricket in Pakistan.
Reports state that the PCB has sent two proposed tour plans to SLC. According to the proposed plan, the PCB wants to either host two Tests in Lahore and Karachi or a limited overs series in Pakistan while the Tests will be played in the United Arab Emirates.
