The young pacer has been admitted to a local hospital in Lahore after the diagnosis. He was a part of the preparation camp for the upcoming Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and international season which begins with the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka in Pakistan.
The 19-year-old will no longer participate in the camp.
Left-handed opening batsman, Fakhar Zaman is also likely to be sidelined from the camp due to a knee injury. He has undergone an MRI scan and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will take the decision of his further participation in the camp.
I don’t think imran zani will select the team on merit even this time around. Fawad Alam should be in the team but it looks highly unlikely.
