India were 203/3 in the 35th over and they ended with 264/8 as Pakistan took 5 wickets for 61 runs in the last 15 overs. Amad Butt rose to the occasion as he defended 8 runs in the final over to take his team into the final.
Omair Yusuf was the star with the bat, scoring 66 runs. Other top performances, including Haider Ali’s 43 and Saif Badar’s 47*, made sure that Pakistan put up a fighting total on the board in the first innings.
Mohammad Hasnain and Saif Badar shared 4 wickets between them while Umer Khan and Amad Butt took one each. Sanvir Singh looked like taking the game away from Pakistan, however, he had to walk back courtesy a run-out by all-rounder Saif Badar to expose the lower order, which failed to get their team over the line.
