Samsung Galaxy S11 to Come with a 100x Zoom Penta Camera

Samsung’s upcoming series of flagship smartphones are expected to arrive at the MWC 2020 in February. There has been a streak of rumors and leaks indicating top of the line specifications for the device, and the latest one suggests that there is also going to be a whopping 100x zoom for space photography.

The camera department will reportedly have a 108MP main sensor for ultra-high resolution images with incredible zoom levels and an additional set of time of flight sensors. The Space Zoom feature will be a part of both, the Galaxy S11 and S11+, and will allow for space photography through a periscope lens.

It is unclear whether the feature will use pixel binning or cropping trickery to achieve the extraordinary 100x zoom, but the capabilities of the Space Zoom feature alongside a 108MP main sensor will definitely be a sight to behold.

Appearance-wise, the S11 is rumored to have a square-shaped cutout for a penta primary camera setup. The punch-hole selfie camera will be placed in the center and the display bezels are expected to be extremely thin.

Other rumored specifications include a 6.9-inch SAMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate that can be fixed or set to automatic. It will be powered by the Exynos 990 SoC or the Snapdragon 865 depending on the region. It is also expected to offer a very good battery life with support for wireless and reverse wireless charging.

Some reports claim that the Galaxy S11 series will be made official on February 11, earlier than the usual Samsung Unboxed event at MWC, while others claim that the unveiling will actually take place on the said event.
