Oppo Reno 3 Will be The Slimmest 5G Smartphone in the World

Oppo is all geared up to launch its Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro 5G next month and according to the Company’s VP, the latter is set to become one of the thinnest 5G smartphones on the market. Oppo is following its tradition of making very slim devices.

The smartphone was recently teased by Oppo’s VP Brian Shen in a tweet. He said the device will be only 7.7 mm thick and this will not be at the expense of the battery capacity. On top of being pretty slim, the device will feature an impressive 4025 mAh battery. The Reno 2 and Reno Ace are 9.5mm and 8.7mm, respectively. And both house a 4000 mAh battery.

Leaked Front Render

Almost a month ahead of its launch, a full-frontal render of the upcoming Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G was leaked on the internet.

The render from LetsGoDigital shows that the smartphone will come with a punch hole on the top left for the selfie camera. The side bezels will be extremely thin while the chin and forehead bezel will be slightly thicker. The punch hole seems to be pretty tiny but it might look like that in the render due to the large display size. The renders also show that the display will have slightly curved edges.

Other Specifications (Rumors)

Based on leaks and rumors, the smartphone will be built around a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+(1080p) resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. Internally, it will be powered by Snapdragon 735 topped with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB onboard storage. The Oppo Reno3 5G will most likely feature a 32 MP selfie camera and a quad-sensor rear camera with a 60 MP main sensor. The battery will most probably ship with 30W fast charging.
