GDG Annual DevFest 2019 is Coming to Islamabad This Weekend

GDG Islamabad’s Flagship event – the annual Devfest 2019 is coming to Islamabad. Devfest is one of the most significant Google Developers Group events happening around the globe. Its focus is community building and proffering more insight about Google technologies. These events are exceptionally tailored exactly according to the needs of the region that hosts it.

Why #DevFest19?

This time it’s bigger and better than any tech-event in the country. We’ve got Googlers on-board to conduct some groundbreaking technical workshops & codelabs including workshops on Kotlin Coroutines in Android, Google AMP, DL with Pytorch, a very interesting game designing workshop, a Firebase codelab and a much-needed workshop on how to design an ideal resume.

Due to an overwhelming response from the audience on our previous #IamRemakable sessions we’ve decided to hold one again at this year’s #DevfestIslamabad where speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group, followed by a very intimate WTM breakfast.

The event includes talks on subjects like Progressive Web Apps on the go, Assistive Tech & Love for community building, which is a much-needed for achieving a sustainable future, and ‘Discover what it takes to be a Google Local Guide’ at this years #DevfestIslamabad.

The heart of the event is our star-studded WTM panel, discussing the power of community building and how vital it is to creating change. Now, amidst all this excitement, how can one forget the legacy of our famous networking brunch?

Through #Devfest19 GDG Islamabad aspires to touch every soul by offering them next-level experience when it comes to accessing digital services. #DevfestIslamabad isn’t just one big tech conference it promises you experience, learning, networking and above all a platform to share your ideas with the best mentors and industry specialists from around the country gathered under one roof.

We look forward to welcoming you to explore our theme “Leveling up Digital Pakistan” intricately designed to address the issue of the digital divide in Pakistan. If you want to become a part of the event, reach out to GDG Islamabad team on their Facebook page.

The event is to be held on 7th December at the Centre of International Peace & Stability (CIPS), NUST H-12 Islamabad.
