Usman Shinwari Ruled Out of 2nd Test Match Against Sri Lanka

After making his debut in the first Test against Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi, Usman Shinwari has been ruled out of the next match at Karachi.

The left-arm fast bowler has been diagnosed with Typhoid after he was admitted to the hospital due to fever. His likely replacement for the Karachi Test is Yasir Shah, who has joined the team after a short stint at National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Shah had earlier expressed his desire to return to full flow in the next Test after having worked with former leg-spinner, Mushtaq Ahmed.

Shinwari picked up a wicket on his debut while conceding 54 runs in the first innings. The pacer had already withdrawn from Big Bash League due to national commitments where he was slated to play for Melbourne Renegades.
