Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince is Coming to Pakistan Tomorrow

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan is expected to arrive in Pakistan on Thursday, January 2, according to sources in the foreign ministry.

During the daylong visit, the Crown Prince will call on PM Khan and other high-level government officials.

The visit follows Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan’s meeting with his Pakistani counterpart and is important in the context of Prime Minister Imran Khan skipping the Kuala Lampur summit.

The expected visit is an attempt at damage control caused by the last-minute withdrawal of Pakistan from the summit.

Matters of mutual interest, trade, and bilateral relations will also be discussed during the meeting.

Earlier on December 20, Prime Minister Imran Khan had contacted the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on a phone call.

The two dignitaries exchanged views on bilateral relations, regional, international affairs.
