The CDL is currently receiving high-end equipment for drug testing, analytics, medicines, and related instruments. The spokesperson added that the World Health Organization will recommend practices for performing tests after the completion of the renovation.

The Central Drug Laboratory is being regularly assessed to ensure quality management and is engaged with the WHO to stay updated with quality control schematics as observed in WHO-certified labs overseas.

A peer audit by the WHO is expected to be conducted in April, subject to recurring feasibility reports from the concerned regulatory divisions.
