This development comes after Cuba’s resounding commitment to develop and export biotechnology and pharma-related products to the world as its saving grace while the threat of impending economic ruin looms over it amid US sanctions.

For now, the Cuban authorities have given the go-ahead for emergency deployment of the Abdala shot, which is one of the five COVID-19 vaccines being developed by the Caribbean country.
