Islamabad and Lahore to Get New State-of-the-Art Universities Soon

Chairman WAPDA, Engr Lt-Gen (r) Sajjad Ghani has announced that the state-of-the-art WAPDA University will begin operation soon as the organization is completing the necessary requirements quickly.

He made this announcement during his visit to the WAPDA Engineering Academy in Faisalabad on Monday.

WAPDA’s focal person for the university also gave an update to the Chairman about the progress on important tasks to set up the university, such as creating a charter, completing a feasibility report, managing finances, and deciding what programs will be offered.

WAPDA University will have its primary campus in Islamabad and sub-campuses in Lahore and Faisalabad. The university will introduce faculties of Engineering, Management Sciences, and Social Sciences gradually.

The Chairman explained the main goals for establishing the university, saying that WAPDA University will be a leader in academics and research in various fields that are crucial for the country’s growth.

He also stated that the university will close the gap between academia and industry in Pakistan by offering curricula specifically designed for this purpose.

  • Nothing will be improved by wapda university, the role of quality education beyond the scope of all Pakistan Universities, main criteria of Pakistan all Universities only and only business
Chit on all Universities of Pakistan running without goal for Pakistan

  • For God’s sake, set the power sector in order first and bring to an end unscheduled loadshedding and that too in peak winter. WAPDA remains one of the most corrupt and inefficient departments in this country. Forget universities. It is not WAPDA’ s job to establish universities.
I do not know who makes these uniformed men sit in such positions. They want to have their hands on everything.

  • Another wastage of money project.. Pakistan already has abundant engineering universities that are good for nothing. Getting a piece of paper named xyz engineering with zero skill level and unemployment even after spending lots n lots of💰💰 is what the outcome of these universities is..
So instead of wasting money on starting new useless projects, spend that budget to improve those already existing ones..
Improve their infrastructure and focus on enhancing students’ skill set during or after completing the degree or maybe put them into something like zero semester kind of thing before enrolling them to a particular program (for example if someone is interested in doing software engineering then put him to learn various short programing courses n tests to see whether he is eligible to become a successful software developer in future or not? Coz most of times either students don’t know what to do or their parents force them to do something big and eventually their career gets ruined). Also before awarding degrees move them to some industrial projects and award them degrees only IFF they qualify the industry criteria..

Similarly improve the area of arts design n architecture within education n industry sector..
Example: a prestigious college of arts NCA has it’s Rawalpindi campus in a poor n inaccessible area of city..my question is WHYYyy?? Move it to Islamabad In a new state of the art building and make it a proper university level campus instead of that cake box kind of building u have made in pindi…
Lots of other things requires improvement so the list goes ooonnn…
