The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship (VCIS) is a highly competitive, academic merit-based award designed to attract high-achieving international students to pursue either an Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework degree in Sydney, Australia. This scholarship offers a partial tuition fee reduction of up to AUD $10,000, which is applied as a one-off payment toward the recipient’s tuition. To be eligible, applicants must first secure a full offer of admission and meet minimum academic thresholds, such as an ATAR equivalent of 85 for undergraduates or a WAM equivalent of 65 for postgraduates. The application process is open year-round, but because the number of awards is very limited, students are strongly advised to apply and accept their offer early, as the effective deadline is reached when the available funds are exhausted for a given intake. The VCIS is strictly a fee reduction and does not cover living expenses, stipends, or health insurance
