University of Oulu

The University of Oulu, also called Oulun yliopisto in Finnish, is one of the largest universities in Finland. It operates in the city of Oulu. The university began its work on July 8, 1958. Since then, it has grown steadily. Today, the university serves about 14,200 students. At the same time, it employs around 3,800 staff members. As a result, it supports a strong academic and research community.
