Trent University is a public liberal arts university in Peterborough, Ontario. It also operates a satellite campus in Oshawa, serving the Regional Municipality of Durham. The university was founded in 1964 and is known for its Oxbridge-style college system and small class sizes. Trent University also manages 11 on-campus nature reserves. Its main Symons campus sits on the Otonabee River at the northeast corner of Peterborough. It is ranked at #1501+ in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
