Scholarship Benefits
Successful scholars receive:

The scholarship is normally awarded for one year initially and may be renewed each semester, subject to satisfactory academic progress, for a maximum of two years.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Apply for admission to a full-time Master’s (Research) programme in FASS.
- Be undertaking research in one of the following:
- Writers from Southeast Asia, or
- Writers who work in or on Southeast Asia; or
- Sinology from any FASS department.
- Be admitted through the Department of Chinese Studies or the Department of English, Linguistics and Theatre Studies, or be a Sinology candidate in another FASS department.
- Meet the graduate admission requirements of NUS.
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement and research potential.
Preference is given to Singaporean and Malaysian applicants. Minimum English language requirements include:
- TOEFL iBT: 85
- IELTS: 6.0
