GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders

Each scholarship provides:

Full tuition fees (including mandatory field trip fees)
A tax-free living stipend of GBP 22,000

Be nationals of—and residing in—sub-Saharan Africa

Intend to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc

Be unable to fund the program without this scholarship

Meet LSHTM’s English language requirements by 15 June 2026

Hold a first or upper second-class degree (or equivalent)

Hold an offer of admission for a London-based intensive MSc at LSHTM for 2026–27

All London-based, full-time, non-distance-learning MSc programs, except:
MSc Global Mental Health
MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing
MSc One Health
MSc Veterinary Epidemiology

Only three scholarships are available for the 2026–27 academic year.

No, but you must submit valid proof to LSHTM by 15 June 2026.

No. The GBP 50 admission fee must be paid for the MSc application to be processed.

No. All applications submitted before the deadline are reviewed equally, regardless of submission date.

You must apply for the MSc program first, but you do not need to have a confirmed offer before submitting the scholarship form.
However, you must hold an offer by the time selection decisions are made.
