The Baloise Fellowship and Scholarship is a faculty-specific financial support program offered by the University of Luxembourg in partnership with Baloise Assurances Luxembourg SA and Baloise Vie Luxembourg SA. It supports outstanding undergraduate students enrolled in selected Bachelor’s programs. The scholarship combines financial assistance with practical industry experience. As a result, students benefit from both academic support and professional development during their studies.

Background and Purpose

The program was created to link academic learning with real-world professional exposure. It supports students who show strong academic performance and career motivation. Through this fellowship, Baloise invests in future professionals in management, economics, and finance-related fields. At the same time, the University of Luxembourg strengthens collaboration between academia and industry. This partnership helps students develop skills that are essential for their future careers.

Baloise Fellowship and Scholarship Benefits

Recipients receive a monthly stipend of €300 during their regular study period. For Gestion students, the stipend applies to semesters 4–6. For Economics students, it applies to semesters 5–6. This support helps cover academic and study-related expenses. In addition, recipients complete a structured internship at Baloise. During the internship semester, students receive payment according to Baloise’s corporate internship rules. Although the stipend does not apply during the internship, students gain valuable professional experience and industry exposure.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is open to students enrolled in the Bachelor en Gestion appliquée or the Bachelor in Economics at the University of Luxembourg. Applicants must be in their third semester (Gestion) or fourth semester (Economics) at the time of application. Students must demonstrate strong academic performance, consistent effort, and clear professional goals. The program selects only five recipients each year, making it highly competitive.

Baloise Fellowship and Scholarship Application Process

Eligible students submit their applications to the scholarship program during the announced application period. A selection committee from Baloise reviews all applications. The committee evaluates academic results, progress, motivation, and career ambitions. Senior management of Baloise Assurances Luxembourg SA and Baloise Vie Luxembourg SA then validates the final list of recipients.

Opportunities for Scholars

Baloise Scholars gain financial support and real-world work experience. They develop practical skills through their internship and build professional networks. The fellowship prepares students for future careers in management, economics, insurance, and finance-related sectors.
