Note: The scholarship cannot be held alongside any other scholarship, including partnership scholarships.
What are the application requirements?
To apply you must:
Submit a completed application to study the MA Islamic Studies program.
Complete the online funding application form.
Provide two academic references, submitted via the official online funding reference form.
What is the application deadline?
The deadline is Wednesday 25 March 2026 at 12:00 noon GMT. Only complete applications received by this time; including study application, funding form, and both references, will be considered.
Can I apply if I’ve already started the MA programme?
No. The award is not available to students already enrolled on the master’s course.
What happens after I apply?
Complete applications will be graded and ranked by School Panels. Top candidates are recommended for awards, and successful applicants are usually informed of the outcome between early May and late June.
Do references need to be submitted by the deadline?
Yes. References must be submitted using the online funding reference form before the deadline. References received late or not using the correct form will not be considered and your application will be deemed incomplete.
Do I need to submit anything else?
No additional documents are required beyond your study application, the funding form, and two completed online references for consideration.
