NTUST Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship provides either full or partial financial support based on the recipient’s award. As a result, students can reduce their financial burden and focus on their studies and research. A full scholarship includes a one-year waiver of tuition and miscellaneous fees together with a monthly stipend. A partial scholarship provides a reduced monthly stipend. Furthermore, the University and the student’s department or thesis advisor jointly fund the monthly scholarship. Recipients may renew the scholarship annually for up to two years for Master’s students and up to three years for PhD students, provided they maintain satisfactory academic and research performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be first-time international students who hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university outside Taiwan and apply for admission to an eligible graduate program at NTUST. Current international graduate students may also apply for scholarship renewal after completing their first academic year. In addition, recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress and continue to meet the University’s scholarship requirements throughout the award period.

NTUST Scholarship Application Process

Applicants must submit their scholarship application together with their admission application to NTUST. They do not need to complete a separate scholarship application. Afterwards, the relevant academic department and the International Student Scholarship Committee of the Office of International Affairs evaluate eligible candidates based on their academic achievements, research potential, and overall suitability for the scholarship.
