KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Swedish: Kungliga Tekniska högskolan), commonly known as KTH, is a public research university located in Stockholm, Sweden. KTH focuses on education and research in engineering and technology. It is Sweden’s largest technical university. The university offers a broad academic portfolio, including more than 40 bachelor’s programs and over 60 master’s programs across various engineering and technology disciplines.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology educates approximately 13,000 full-time students from Sweden and around the world. Since 2018, the university has operated through five schools. These schools run academic and research activities across four campuses in and around the Stockholm region. The QS World University Rankings 2026 have placed the university at #78.
