Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU; Arabic: جامعة حمد بن خليفة) is a public university located within Education City in Doha, the capital city of Qatar. The university, a member of Qatar Foundation, was founded in 2010. The university began graduating students in 2014. It was named after Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Emir of Qatar. HBKU offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. It is ranked at #244 by the 2026 QS World University Rankings.
