Malmö University (Swedish: Malmö universitet) is a public university located in Malmö, Sweden. The university enrolls more than 24,000 students and employs around 1,600 academic and administrative staff members. These figures place the university as the ninth-largest higher education institution in Sweden.

The university began as a university college (högskola) in 1998. The Swedish Minister for Higher Education and Research later granted it full university status. The institution officially became a university on 1 January 2018. The university maintains strong international connections. It holds exchange agreements with more than 240 partner universities worldwide. Nearly one-third of its students come from international backgrounds, creating a diverse and global learning environment. The QS World University Rankings 2026 have placed the university at #28.
