Extremely Disappointed – Serious Hygiene & Service Concerns
We had a very disappointing experience at Yum Chinese & Thai. Right from the start, the table mats were wet and had an unpleasant smell, indicating poor hygiene standards. However, the most alarming part was finding a nail in the food, which is not only unacceptable but could have been life-threatening.
When this was brought to the manager’s attention, instead of offering an apology, he responded defensively, claiming the chef said there are no nails in the kitchen. This level of denial and lack of accountability is extremely unprofessional and concerning.
While the taste of the food was decent, the service staff were poorly trained, lacking basic etiquette and understanding of food service standards.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone and will never return. Serious changes are needed in their hygiene practices and staff training if they wish to regain customer trust.
One of the best hi tea in twin city. Their food is always so delicious 😋 menu is mostly same but they keep on changing the deserts. Highly recommended. Make sure to do advance booking as it’s always so crowded
We have visited Yum Chinese & Thai today and sit outdoor. They served us with complementary drink and crackers. We ordered Prawns Soup and Chow Mein. Both dishes have good taste but there is nothing extra ordinary. According to me they have Normal taste and normal sitting environment.
A friend invited me for a hi tea. The hall was jam-packed. The staff was trying to maintain the covid sops. They have a sumptuous menu. The food tastes great. The refills are quick and fast. A must-try. A great value for money.
