A young Pakistani entrepreneur opens up a cafe in Britain, Chai Ada, which accepts multiple cryptocurrencies as a form of payment. He is the first man to set up a crypto cafe in the UK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tayyab Shafiq, who is only 26 years old, has opened “Chai Ada” outside Westfield in Shepherds Bush, West London. Chai Ada, a coffee shop, offers a variety of tea flavors such as masala chai, elaichi chai,<\/em> cinnamon chai<\/em>, pink Kashmiri tea along with some traditional Pakistani dishes such as parathas, biryani, kebabs, and rolls. The cafe is decorated with Pakistani truck art. The vivid and colorful setup is alluring and inviting. The vibrant truck art theme of Chai Ada did a fine job in catching people’s attention. Thus, in a short period, this cafe became a hit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from the eye-catching interior, one other thing caught people’s attention. The unique feature is that Chai Ada can accept cryptocurrencies as payment. This unique initiative is, however, on a much larger scale. Customers can pay for chai and other delicacies using digital currency. The digital currency can be in any form of classic Bitcoin or Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, XRP, Verge, Litecoin, and Horizen. The young entrepreneur has developed an app to operate cryptocurrency payments. Customers can make instant payments from their crypto wallet accounts against the British pounds. In an interview with a local news channel, Shafiq said that about 20% of the payments to him are in bitcoins and other digital currencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though the trend of using cryptocurrencies is growing, there are several risks to it. Despite the risks involved in digital currency, Shafiq is of the view that crypto is the future. He said in an interview “We have to look into the future. I honestly believe that crypto is the future. It\u2019s here to stay and it’s already working well. It has become a reality. When establishing Chai Ada, I believed that the Crypto, NFT, Metaverse (digital world) are the future and I just wanted to play my little part to encourage the use of cryptocurrency.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further explained how his business is a working model. He said: “This cafe business model is one of its kind. It has an NFT-based franchising model, which is the first in the world where one can buy our franchise by acquiring premium NFTs so that it makes one an exclusive token holder.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chai Ada will be the first Metaverse cafe that will allow customers to have virtual meetings for professional or personal purposes. Also, Tayyab Shafiq is the same person who made it to the headlines in the UK when he opened a Biryani cafe in London using the iconic red phone box.
