McDonald\u2019s has recently announced big plans. The huge fast-food chain is to bring its McPlant burger to 600 restaurants in the San Francisco Bay and Dallas-Fort Worth. According to a statement from the company, this was part of McDonald\u2019s Valentine\u2019s Day plans. The patty of this burger is created in a partnership with Beyond Meat. This patty is prepared using peas, rice, and potatoes. It is then served on a sesame seed bun. In addition to this, the other ingredients added to this burger include tomato, lettuce, onions, and American cheese. Lastly, all these layers of ingredients are topped with mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When this new McPlant burger was initially launched McDonald\u2019s made a statement saying, “It has the iconic taste of a McDonald’s burger, because it is one”. Now this might have been an overstatement in the eyes of meat lovers. However, McDonald\u2019s made sure to bring an end to the suffering of vegans. This plant-based burger was earlier introduced in 8 United States restaurants. The McDonald\u2019s restaurants in Texas, California, Iowa, and Louisiana first offered the McPlant burgers to their customers. Before the burger\u2019s arrival in the United States, it was already being served in the U.K., Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, and Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other Fast-Food Chains Taking The Same Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Several other huge fast-food chains in the U.S. have lately been taking steps to offer a plant-based menu to the customers. Burger King\u2019s Impossible Whopper launched in 2019 also has a plant-based patty and is fairly popular among the customers. KFC has also recently introduced a plant based Beyond Fried Chicken in the United States. In addition to that, during the first week of January, a famous restaurant in the country named Chipotle made a similar move. Chipotle added plant-based chorizos to its menu. This dish is prepared with chipotle peppers, paprika, and tomato paste. Not only that, but it is also free of soy, gluten, grains, and all kinds of preservatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A demand for plant-based food has recently been on the rise. Therefore, the fast-food chains are trying their best to stay in the market while providing exactly what the customer wants.
