This new flavor, released by Coca-Cola is named Starlight and is inspired by the cosmos. This limited-edition version of the world-famous soda comes in regular and zero sugar packings and has definitely spurred excitement among the Coke fans. Coca-Cola decided to discontinue half of its portfolio some time ago. It got rid of some outdated but beloved drinks like Tab and Odwalla. Ever since then, the soda giant has been keeping its core focus on the main product \u2013 Coke. Starlight is the first beverage from the innovation platform. It is not clear how starlight is supposed to taste, unlike \u201ccherry\u201d and \u201cvanilla\u201d which were too easy to predict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theories were shared about the new drink\u2019s flavor after an image of the new product was spotted online. One guess about the flavor of this beverage was raspberry because “a quick Google search says that space tastes like raspberries\u201d. A Youtuber who tried the product recently claims that he felt the after tastes of chocolate and graham cracker. This led to another conclusion that the flavor is “s’mores\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coca-Cola finally made an effort to clear the mystery. The company explained that Starlight is \u201cinspired by space\u201d. It has \u201cnotes reminiscent of stargazing around a campfire, as well as a cooling sensation that evokes the feeling of a cold journey to space\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the color of the beverage is red. As told by the company \u201cCoca-Cola Starlight combines great Coca-Cola taste with a dash of the unexpected, including a reddish hue\u201d. A reporter who tasted the zero-sugar version provided by the company tried to sum it up. He says that the new Coca-Cola Starlight does not taste like space, neither did it feel like sitting around a campfire. However, according to him, it tasted like a sweeter version of the regular Coca-Cola. Also, the color of the beverage is definitely red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marketing Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new beverage is getting a full Coca-Cola Creations promotional treatment. The marketing campaign for Starlight is featuring pop singer Ava Max.
