If your income is 6 lacs per year then you are liable to pay the <strong>income tax<\/strong>. To file the tax returns you need NTN. Here we will walk you through the whole procedure of obtaining National Tax Number (NTN) from FBR.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Steps to get National Tax Number<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To get National Tax Number (NTN), you need to follow some steps and you must have the required documents. If you are a salaried person then the required documents are given below.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Documents required for Salaried Persons NTN Registration<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy of valid <strong>CNIC<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Copy of recently paid electricity bill of house (not older than 3 months)<\/li>\n<li>Latest <strong>payslip.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Contact Numbers (<strong>Mobile &amp; Landline<\/strong>) and valid Email address<\/li>\n<li><strong>National Tax Number (NTN)<\/strong> of Employer, Office Address, and valid Email address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have a business then the documents required to get NTN are given below.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Documents required for Business NTN Registration<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy of valid <strong>CNIC.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Copy of recently paid electricity bill of business location.<\/li>\n<li>Blank Business Letter Head.<\/li>\n<li>Property papers or Rental Agreement(Rental Agreement printed on Rs. 200\/- stamp paper).<\/li>\n<li>Contact Numbers (Mobile &amp; Landline), and valid Email address.<\/li>\n<li>Nature of Business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To get NTN you need to create an account on the <strong>Federal Board of Revenue website<\/strong>. Fill out all the necessary information such as <strong>CNIC, Name, Contact number, Address, valid email address <\/strong>etc.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 4:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After you fill out all the information then click on the <strong>submit button<\/strong>. Now two different 6 digits codes will be sent to you on given <strong>cell number<\/strong> and <strong>email address<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 5:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Enter the <strong>codes<\/strong> in the relevant fields and submit again. Your account will be created and you will receive a password and pin from FBR via <strong>SMS<\/strong> or <strong>email<\/strong>. Use the <strong>User ID<\/strong> and <strong>password<\/strong> sent to you, to log in to your account.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 6: <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After logging in to your <strong>IRIS account<\/strong>, click on <strong>draft<\/strong>.
