Here\u2019s what works for most laptops:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Table or other flat working area: <\/strong>You\u2019ll need a spot to sit (if that\u2019s your thing) with a flat area to work on your laptop. Remove the laptop battery as well.<\/li>\n<li>Find the round cover stickers that are hiding the screws on the screen bezel, the case surrounding the screen. These stickers are usually on the bottom of the bezel, near the screen hinges, when you have the screen opened. You should find one on each side of the screen. Refer to adjacent black dots in the following image:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload size-full wp-image-3612 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 989 595'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/how-to\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/6-3.jpg\" alt=\"Black Dots Displaying Round Cover Stickers\" width=\"989\" height=\"595\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Use a sharp, pointy object\u2014like an opened safety pin or needle\u2014to help remove the cover stickers without damaging them. Remember: righty-tighty, lefty-loosey. Some screws are easy to remove; others, not so much. But moving the screen into <em>just<\/em> the right position usually exposes the screws enough for removal.<\/li>\n<li>Carefully start prying the screen bezel away from the back side of the screen case. Work a fingernail or other thin, prying object into the crack around the outside of the screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignnone wp-image-3614\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 678 381'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/how-to\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/8-3.jpg\" alt=\"Prying Screen Bezel Away - Pre-Removal\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you\u2019ve unsnapped the screen bezel, it may or may not be easy to remove. If not, it\u2019s likely stuck around the screen hinges. Moving the screen position up or down, with some gentle force if necessary, should free it fully.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload size-full wp-image-3615 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 1200 794'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/how-to\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/9-2.png\" alt=\"Freeing The Now Un-Screwed LCD Component\" width=\"1200\" height=\"794\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once the bezel is fully removed, you\u2019ll find the LCD secured to a metal trim frame on the left and right sides. Remove the two screws (one on each side, on the top) holding the trim frame pieces to the back-screen case. Now, you should be able to lift the LCD with ease!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Removal | Reversal | Know What You&#8217;re Doing<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On each of the trim frames\u2019 sides, remove any screws that are securing it to the LCD. Most laptops have three screws on each side.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-3616 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 673 378'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/how-to\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/10-1.jpg\" alt=\"Check For Extra Screws On The Sides\" width=\"673\" height=\"378\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Now you should be able to set the LCD face-down onto the keyboard. Be careful not to put excessive force on the video cable attached to the back of the LCD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-3617 aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 669 376'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/how-to\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/11-2.jpg\" alt=\"Setting The LCD Face-Down Onto The Keyboard\" width=\"669\" height=\"376\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disconnect the video cable from the back of the LCD. Generally, most laptops have these connectors in the center of the connector-tray.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You usually have to remove the tape that\u2019s securing the video connector at the back of the screen as well.
