The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government<\/a> has fulfilled another promise by expanding Sehat Sahulat programme<\/strong> for all residents of the province. On Thursday, PM Imran Khan<\/strong> announced that the KP government will provide health insurance to every family of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa<\/strong> under the Sehat Sahulat programme. Sehat Sahulat Programme<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Before the expansion of this programme, only 40% of the entire province\u2019s population could avail the Sehat Insaf Card<\/strong>. Now, every family that dwells in KPK, shall be able to get free medical treatment of up to Rs. 1 million per year. Both public and private hospitals designated by the KP government will provide free treatment to all the residents of the province.<\/p>\n

According to the agreement signed between the KP government and State Life Insurance Corporation, the provincial government will pay Rs. 2849 per family annually to State Life Insurance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All the residents of Chitral, Swat, Malakand district<\/strong>, Lower dir<\/strong> and Upper dir<\/strong> will start to receive free healthcare services from October regardless of their financial status. The free health coverage will be extended zone by zone. Sehat Sahulat Programme Benefits<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Under the programme, all the beneficiaries will be entitled to free-of-cost hospitalization, emergency services, in-patient services (all medical and surgical cases), injuries, referral transportation, maternity services, free follow-ups and consultancy.<\/p>\n

In addition to these healthcare services, some major diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes Kidney diseases etc. services will also be covered under this health insurance. For more insurance coverage details, you can refer to the image given below.<\/p>\n

How to Get Sehat Insaf Card<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The great thing about this programme is that the resident of KP province<\/strong> won\u2019t need any special card or complete a registration procedure to avail this service. People can avail the aforementioned services via their CNIC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The government will use the NADRA<\/a> database to collect all the information regarding you and your family members. However, you must have NADRA issued Family Registration Certificate (FRC)<\/strong> if you want to avail these free healthcare services.<\/p>\n
