With this software update, Apple has introduced widgets<\/a> which are quite dynamic and can be placed anywhere on your home screen. How to Add Widgets to iPhone Home Screen<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To begin with, here’s how you can add existing widgets to your iPhone\u2019s home screen.<\/p>\n

  • Touch and hold any empty area on your home screen until app icons start to jiggle.<\/li>\n
  • You will see the plus sign at the top-right of your screen. Tap on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Select the widget you want to add.<\/li>\n
    • After that, select its size and shape by scrolling left and right.<\/li>\n
    • Once selected, tap on \u201cadd widget<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Now move the widget anywhere you want it.<\/li>\n
      • Finally, tap anywhere on the home screen to get out of the edit mode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Creating Smart Stack<\/strong><\/h2>\n

        Apple has also added the new smart stack feature in iOS 14 that will automatically choose which widget should be on top, depending on user location and the apps he\/she uses frequently. iOS 14 comes with a pre-built smart stack that contains a group of selected apps. You can add these smart stacks the same way you add the widgets.<\/p>\n

        • Long press any empty area of your home screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Tap plus sign then scroll down until you see the \u201csmart stack<\/strong>\u201d option. Tap on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • Now hold the \u201cgrid icon<\/strong>\u201d to reorder the widgets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Creating Your Own Widget Stack<\/strong><\/h2>\n

                    In iOS 14<\/strong>, users have also the option of creating their own widget stack that allows them to save space on the home screen and also add the frequently used widgets in the stack. Here’s how to create it.<\/p>\n

                    • Tap and hold any widget until it starts to jiggle.<\/li>\n
                    • Now drag that widget on top of another widget.<\/li>\n
                    • You can stack up to 10 widgets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
                    • Once all the widgets have been added, tap on \u201cdone<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
