If you want to send multiple images via email or upload them on a social media platform, resizing can help a lot<\/strong> as it will consume less amount of time to send those pictures<\/a>. Here are three ways you can resize your JPEG images<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3 Ways to Resize a JPEG\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

1. Resizing a JPEG Image Online<\/span><\/h3>\n

There are so many good websites online<\/strong> that allow you to quickly fix your JPEG images according to your desired size. Take Canva for example.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. To resize your JPEG image,<\/strong> go to <\/span>Canva.com<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. After you Sign Up<\/strong> using your email address, you will see a number of templates on the Home screen for different creatives.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. On the top right corner, you will see a tab \u2018Create a Design\u2019<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Choose the option and go to Custom Size<\/strong> at the end of the list.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Set a Width and Height<\/strong> of our image. This should be according to your preferred size.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Click on Create New Design<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. You will be redirected to a new page with a blank template for your image.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. On the left corner, you will see an option \u2018Uploads<\/strong>\u2019. Click on that.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Upload the image from your media library and choose the image you want to resize.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Once the image is uploaded, drag and drop<\/strong> it to the blank size chart.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Stretch it or fold it so that it perfectly fits in the size you provided earlier.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Once you are done, you will see a Download<\/strong> option on the top right.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Click on it and select the format<\/strong> for your image to be JPEG.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  14. Your image will start downloading<\/strong> and will be ready to use.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Resizing a JPEG Image in Windows Paint<\/span><\/h3>\n

    1. To resize your JPEG image<\/strong> in Paint, first of all, make a copy of the image so that you can keep the original one for later. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Paint is an inbuilt free image editor in every version of Windows. To open your image in Paint, right-click on the image and go to \u2018Edit\u2019<\/strong> and then \u2018Open with Paint<\/strong>\u2019.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Press <\/span>Ctrl+A<\/strong> to select the entire image that you want to resize. When your image gets selected, you will see a dotted line around its edges.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. On the Home tab, you will find the option \u2018Resize<\/strong>\u2019. Click on it.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Once you open the resize option, you can either resize your image by percentage or by pixels.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. By choosing pixels<\/strong>, you will have to enter the exact size of the image you want it to be.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    7. By choosing the percentage<\/strong> option, you can enter percentages greater than 100 to make the <\/span>image size<\/span> bigger.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    8. To keep the image from <\/span>stretching<\/span> too much or folding too much, Paint keeps the aspect ratio by default.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    9. To define your own horizontal and vertical ratio, uncheck the \u2018Maintain Aspect Ratio<\/strong>\u2019 option.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    10. After you have changed the image size, click OK<\/strong> to save your changes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    11. If you are not happy with the result, press <\/span>Ctrl+Z<\/strong> to undo your changes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    12. If you are happy with the new image size, go to the top left corner and select \u2018Save as\u2019<\/strong> from the File option.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    13. Choose Save as JPEG<\/strong> picture.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    14. Give a name to your file and choose a destination for it to be saved.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      3. Resizing a JPEG Image in MacBook\u2019s Preview<\/span><\/h3>\n

      1. To resize a JPEG image<\/strong> in MacBook<\/strong>, create a copy of the original file before you make any changes. Select the file and press <\/span>Command+C<\/strong>, then press <\/span>Command+V<\/strong> to copy and paste the image in the same location.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Click on the image you want to make changes to and right-click the file. Go to \u2018Open with Preview\u2019<\/strong> to open the file.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Go to the Tools menu and select \u2018Adjust Size<\/strong>\u2019. You will be automatically <\/span>directed<\/span> to a new window where you can change the image size. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Select the drop-down menu<\/strong> and choose from the units to make changes. You can choose to change the image size either by pixels or by percentages<\/strong>, similarly as in Paint.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. To resize both vertically and horizontally without <\/span>maintaining<\/span> the aspect ratio, uncheck the \u2018Scale proportionally\u2019<\/strong> box.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      6. Click OK<\/strong> to save the changes on your image. If you don\u2019t get the desired results, press <\/span>Command+Z<\/strong> to go back to the original size.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      7. To save your file, click on the File menu<\/strong> and select \u2018Save<\/strong>\u2019 to save your new JPEG image.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Always remember that changing an image\u2019s size can reduce the quality slightly<\/strong> and stretching an image can make the pixels look blocky and grainy.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
