Shaheen Afridi says he is in no hurry to get married at the moment as he’s too focused on his career.
As the sportsman is focusing on cricket, Shaheen Afridi told the Daily Jang that he will think about marriage in the future. This fits into his fiance’s plans for higher education who will be pursuing a career in the medical field.
Shahid Afridi had shared that his daughter wants to become a doctor. She will probably pursue further education in Pakistan or England.
When asked if his female fans will be heartbroken when he ties the knot, Shaheen Afridi just smiled and refused to comment. The bowler was respectful towards his fiance and didn’t respond to the question.
Earlier in May 2021, it was confirmed that Shahid Afridi had accepted the young pacer’s proposal for his eldest daughter. The engagement led to congratulations from fans and Netizens alike.
In an interview with a private channel, Shahid Afridi had said;
“If it’s God’s will, the young bowler will be the son-in-law in the future, … We Afridis have eight tribes, Shaheen and we belong to different tribes.”
At the time he had explained that this would mean his daughter is marrying out of the family. Even revealing that for the last two years, Shaheen’s parents had been making efforts to strengthen the two families’ acquaintances to something more.
