After a brief hiatus from the morning show scene Shaista Lodhi is back with another brilliant morning show. However, she’ll be replacing a fellow morning show host.
After starting her hosting career with a game show for women on Pakistan Television (PTV), it’s only fitting that the veteran entertainer returned to the state broadcaster. At what cost though.
Another stalwart of PTV and veteran actress, Nadia Khan was already hosting the PTV morning show since Juggan Kazim left. Now looks like she’s moving elsewhere as Shaista Lodhi takes the spot.

Dr. Shaista Lodhi even teased some behind-the-scenes shots. She said that although, she refused to do morning shows in the past when PTV offered her a spot she could not refuse as the channel reaches everyone across Pakistan.
She said that it will be a great opportunity for her to reach out to the masses and do something to help educate them.
After her debut with PTV, Dr. Shaista Lodhi went to continue hosting morning shows on private channels. A few years ago she left the morning shows and started practicing at her private clinic.
Looks like now she’s making a comeback.
Meanwhile, Nadia Khan who hosted PTV Home’s ‘Morning at Home’ for two years said goodbye to the state broadcaster. She joined the show in 2019 and left it when her contract expired.
According to the actress, her husband advised her to take a break from her morning show and should give him time as they have a lot of travel plans. Nadia said that whenever a morning show host leaves a show, people think that there must have been a controversy behind it but it is not the case.
Yet, she ‘exposed a lot of bitter realities’ about morning shows. She asserted that the host and crew have to bear a lot of mismanagement. She further said that PTV also had an issue that she doesn’t cooperate with them which was a weird thing. Her husband was also shocked by this statement of PTV officials.
