They are out in full force!

Pakistani celebrities came to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s support to second his stance on the Pulwama attack.

While Indian celebs were all into the “divide and hate” narrative, Pakistani celebs sent out consolation messages and condemned the attack.

It’s been a few days since the Pulwama attack but Prime Minister Imran Khan was busy running a country. So Imran Khan responded to Indian threats in an official address after seeing a foreign guest off.

The PM made it clear that while Pakistan has a desire for peace, in case of an attack, Pakistan ‘will not just think about retaliation but will retaliate’. And that too as a last resort, unlike the Indian response.

Pakistani citizens were all praise for the Prime Minister’s stance on the matter. Pakistani celebrities too were all praise for the PM’s statesmanship.

Former cricket captain Shahid Afridi liked that Imran Khan’s response to Indian threats ‘was absolutely crystal clear‘.

Some celebs called on Indians to be rational about this whole ordeal.

BBC even got schooled by Armeena Khan for their ‘war journalism’ rather than a peace and conflict management approach.

The actress pointed out that while a BBC headline read ‘Pakistan has warned India against attack’ ,the PM’s speech was about peace and invited India for a dialogue. That’s quite a far stretch isn’t it?

Some celebs’ confidence in Imran Khan’s conflict resolution though was the highlight of the day.

It seems Indian superstars can learn a lot from the measured and restrained tone of Pakistani Celebrities, who are making their point in a cool manner, and that too without calling for war (take notes Kangana).
