And she has her own slime business!

A 10-year-old girl from Faisalabad is helping people deal with stress in a very creative and therapeutic way. The young lady is extremely innovative, and at the same time, she’s helping us cope with stress in creative ways.

Her name is Amna Awais, and she has turned her passion into a job (these kids grow up so fast). She uses slime (similar to play-doh) in a lot of creative ways, and has built herself as an Instagram superstar with sheer will and determination.

Here’s Amna showing us what she’s all about:

She took what started out as a hobby, and turned it into a part-time job! (did we mention she’s just ten years old?).

Customized Slime Products for Kids and Adults

This is no ordinary slime though. She’s really putting her creativity all out here.

Her creations range from Mint Margarita slime to Bae slime and almost anything you can think of (this is wizardry).

The Slime Trend

If you haven’t heard of slime, we’ve got you covered here. Slime may just be the next best thing that happened to mankind after fidget spinners.

Slime is basically a semi-solid, semi-liquid viscous concoction. Its squishy texture helps relieves stress, which is another way of saying that it is super satisfying.

Even watching videos of how people are using slime in all sorts of creative ways is therapeutic. And we just don’t mean tutorial videos here.

From Amna to @lil._.shizz

Amna was swept up in the slime slide just like the rest of us. While she loved playing with slime and that stress-free feeling, she had an eureka moment.

Amna asked her parents for the appropriate supplies to make her own customized slimes.

According to her parents:

“She loves playing with it, making bubble pop sounds and she gets ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response) – a tingly feeling in her scalp down her spine.”

Amna Awais got to watching hours and hours of slime videos on Youtube (we’d love to do that too). Then she started making her own custom slime.

Here are the results:

Amna really took it to a whole new level, creating every kind of slime imaginable from food items like lime and butter, to something like Azadi slime (you heard that right!).

She then started selling her slime at school. With the help of her supportive family, Amna started to share that magic on Instagram.

She started in July 2018 and has accumulated over 3,000 followers in such a short time.

Now Amna’s brother Mohammad Karim is helping her sell her products nationally. The 23 year old NUST student looks after all the rest, be it buying supplies, selling, and managing the brand’s social platforms at @lil._.shizz.

Amna’s 17-year-old sister Farheen photographs and records everything for the Instagram posts. The most important job though of making the slime is handled by Amna herself, with mommy’s help.

As for their dad, they have his blessings.

Now that she is selling nationally, Amna also posts slime tutorials and sells slime supplies as well.

Her brother Karim says that while turning your hobby into a job may seem like fun, its still work. He said that it only looks like an ‘asaan job’ but it’s not.

Karim said that besides the effort put into making the slime, the testing takes time (quality control issues). So yeah, its a real job.

“Testing can take anywhere from 2 to 4 days.”

He mentioned how his sister’s favorite slime is glitter slime.

@lil._.shizz produces around 10 pieces a day on average. She does it after school because after all, she’s a 10-year-old.

As for @lil._.shizz herself, she wants to be a Vlogger in the near future. She’s hoping to go international with her slime business this summer.
