5SOS (Five Seconds of Summer) have a new track out and it seems like Julia Micheals’ vocals was just the boost they needed for their new EP.
When you pair the 24 year old songstress and song-writer’s skills with a boy band that’s crass and loud, you get Lie To Me. Julia’s emotional honesty works well here in combination with the boys trying to brush it off. Its truly the winter jam we needed.

5SOS and Julia Micheals’ Lie To Me brings the depth that the band’s former love ballads lacked, which makes it the tune of the day. No we’re not lying to you, even EMI Music thinks so. The company is known to have produced music with Troye Sivan, MIGOS, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Keith Urban and even Halsey.

5SOS is known for their summer anthems, hence the fitting name. Julia Micheals has the voice of an angel and killer songwriting skills. She has been a lyricist for years, writing hits like Heal Me (Lady Gaga), Revival (Selena Gomez), Heavy (Linkin Park), Close (Nick Jonas), and Sorry (Justin Bieber). So her niche is tasteful break-up songs.
5 Seconds of Summer hasn’t really been making headlines since their She Looks So Perfect era. While the band did win the Teen Choice Award for their single Youngblood, that doesn’t overshadow the fact that they’ve been winning the NME Worst Band Award for three consecutive years.
The band put out an EP album in June, 2018 titled Youngblood. After that they kept the singles going. Their most recent track Lie To Me started trending shortly after it was put out. The album took them over 2 years to put together.
