While all of us were overwhelmed by the young spirit of an Economic teacher from Karachi, Pakistan had more to offer, a lot more given we’ve had a guy that’s been participating for three years now.<\/p>\n

While we’re still wrapping our heads around the fact that a 29 year old Economics teacher is going to compete in\u00a0Fj\u00e4llr\u00e4ven Polar, turns out he’s not the only Pakistani that will be doing so. A Pakistani adventurer Mushahid Shah intends to take on the Arctic challenge too.<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, Fj\u00e4llr\u00e4ven Polar is a\u00a0five days dog sledding race in the Arctic held annually in Norway.<\/p>\n

Based on the vote count, Mushahid has a good chance of knocking out Jehangir who has managed to muster 1540 votes while Mushahid managed to get 21351.<\/p>\n

Not only has Shah taken away Jamali’s title of being the first Pakistani to sled across the North Pole (we mean the Arctic) Mushahid also has an impressive resume as an adventure freak.<\/p>\n

He’s been a participant of the Polar Expedition contest for three years now.<\/p>\n

If that wasn’t enough, he’s also an Olympian and represented Pakistan in the Asian Games 2018.<\/p>\n

He’s also a fan of rock climbing so we know he’s got the endurance part down.<\/p>\n

Mushahid still needs votes to get into the competition. You can vote for him here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A Long Road Ahead<\/h4>\n

Even though Mushahid seems equipped to take on the challenge, the Fj\u00e4llr\u00e4ven Polar is only half the deal. Once he has enough votes to participate in the race, he will then have to win to be a part of the Polar Expedition.<\/p>\n

The winners of this race then go on to be a part of an international polar expedition.<\/p>\n

The winners also have the honor of raising their flags to represent their country in the expedition. We know that Mushahid has been doing this for three years now but what we don’t know is how far he got last time.
