Get ready to have your heart broken if they bring <em>James and the Giant Peach<\/em>\u00a0to life.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a part of the Dahl clan then we hate to break it to you but this deal doesn&#8217;t include all our favorites. However, here are some of known bestsellers that will be getting the animated treatment from the online streaming service:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Charlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Matilda<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>The BFG<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>The Twits<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>George\u2019s Marvelous\u00a0Medicine<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Boy: Tales of Childhood<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Going Solo<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>The Enormous Crocodile<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>The Wonderful Story of<\/em>\u00a0<em>Henry Sugar and Six More<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Billy and the Minpins<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>The Magic Finger<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Esio Trot<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Dirty Beasts<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><em>Rhyme Stew.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Netflix announced that, all these adaptations are set to be \u201cevent series and specials,\u201d rather than ongoing shows.<\/p>\n<p>We all want good things to last but maybe some of these stories could benefit from a shorter run-time. The book was first adapted into a film back in 1990 (man we&#8217;re old) and there&#8217;s also a reboot in the pipeline.<\/p>\n<p>Thing is that Netflix will only be doing animated adaptations of the books. So with the exception of <em>James and the Giant Peach, Danny the Champion of the World<\/em> and <em>Fantastic Mr Fox,<\/em> we don&#8217;t have animated versions of these stories.
