Amir Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s Dil is getting a reboot.\u00a0Indra Kumar revealed that the remake will be titled Dil Again<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Bollywood is seeing a lot of remakes recently with Amar, Akbar and Anthony<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Ek Ladki Ko Deekha\u00a0Tou Aisa Laga<\/em>\u00a0getting reboots.<\/p>\n

Dil Gets Reboot<\/h3>\n

Now even the 90s romantic hit Dil<\/em> is in line to get a reboot. Since it is a remake and not a sequel, we may not get to see the original cast make an appearance.<\/p>\n

Word is that film-maker Indra Kumar is looking for actors to fill in the roles.<\/p>\n

His current project Total Dhamaal<\/em> is set to release on February, 22nd.<\/p>\n

More Remakes Are Incoming<\/h3>\n

In other news on Bollywood’s wave of remakes, rumor has it that reboots of\u00a0Pati Patni Aur Woh<\/em>, Coolie No. 1<\/em> and Ram Lakhan<\/em> are also in the cards or pipeline. Even Chupke Chupke<\/em> is getting another remake.<\/p>\n

While many in Bollywood are onboard with this reboot trend, some are not. It is obvious that a majority is onboard with reboots given the sheer amount of remakes in the cards.<\/p>\n

Others like screenwriter Mayank Tewari, feel that filmakers should not try to fix what isn’t broken. Recreating the same hype with a script that is not contemporary to audiences and current trends can be rough. Case in point, people now call out Belle in Beauty and the Beast<\/em> for having Stockholm syndrome.<\/p>\n
